Nancy Ann Rapski

October 22, 2025

Born in: Baltimore, Maryland
Resided in: Moatsville, West Virginia

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Nancy Ann Rapski, age 62, of Moatsville, West Virginia. Nancy passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.

Nancy was born on January 29, 1963, in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of William and Charlsie Jean Klapka. She married the love of her life, Joseph Frank Rapski, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, and family.

Nancy was the proud mother of Tina Rapski, Katrina Rapski, Sherry Cavanaugh, Joey Rapski, Anna Rapski, and Jaden Rapski. Her heart overflowed with joy for her grandchildren — Marissa, Earl, Emily, Nathon, Darla, Milena, Kaydence, Marek, Wyatt, Sunaura, Maksym, Virgil, Braydon and Gavin — each one a light in her life.

She is also survived by her brothers Billy Klapka and John Klapka, and was preceded in death by her brother Charlie Klapka.

Nancy had a creative and gentle soul. She loved to garden, craft, and paint, and her home was always filled with her handmade treasures and her collection of cheerful gnomes and ladybugs. She had a special love for Disney’s Stitch, with the meaning of Ohana and the joy in being “a little different”. Nancy also had a deep affection for animals — especially horses, giraffes, and her loyal dog, Wiesel.

Most of all, Nancy loved her family. She found her greatest happiness in caring for those she loved, celebrating every moment, and making her home a place of warmth and comfort. Her laughter, kindness, and creativity will be forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A reflection of Nancy’s life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 12pm at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi, WV.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.wrightfuneralhomeservices.com
