Donald Henry Dalton Jr., 59, of Buckhannon, West Virginia, passed away on February 25, 2026, at Ruby Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born on April 1, 1966, to the late Donald H. Dalton and Waverly M. McQueen.
Donald was a graduate of Philippi Barbour High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping until declining health made these activities difficult. He also had a talent for drawing and found great satisfaction in woodcrafts.
He was the father of two daughters, Rebecca and Lita, and two sons, Josh and David Lee (deceased).
He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca and Lita; his son, Josh; his sisters, Rita Dalton of Philippi and Joyce Miller of Ohio; and his brother, Glenn Dalton of Philippi.
He will also be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his son David Lee, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Linda Sue Bethel and Karen Sue Kennedy, and his brothers, Hughie Dalton and Billy Joe Dalton.
In accordance with his wishes, Donald will be cremated, and his remains will be interred beside his son at Olde Poke Cemetery.
