Sandra Kay Miller

Sandra Kay Miller, age 72, of Philippi, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

She was born on January 1, 1954, in Buckhannon, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Clayton Marion and Rachel (Holnider) Furr.

On December 17, 1971, Sandra was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Joseph Hershey Miller, with whom she shared many years of love and devotion.

Sandra found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved tending to her flowers and spending time in her garden, where she could often be found nurturing the beauty around her. She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting, creating handmade treasures for those she loved. Above all, Sandra cherished her family. Time spent with her children and grandchildren meant everything to her, and she will be remembered for her warm heart, caring nature, and the love she gave so freely.

She is survived by her loving children, Scott Miller and wife Melissa, and Eric Miller and wife Crystal; her cherished grandchildren, Matthew and Mikey Miller; and her brothers, Darrel Furr, Donald Furr, and Francis Furr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Clayton Furr, Dayton Furr, Sonny Furr, Mary Belle Tenney, and Glenda Yokum.

Family and friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home and On-Site Crematory, 220 N. Walnut Street, Philippi, on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A gathering will be held during this time to honor Sandra’s life and memory. Following the visitation, Sandra will be laid to rest in Bethany Cemetery.
