Flora Jeanne Phillips

Flora Jeanne Phillips, age 56, a resident of Philippi, passed away Friday, October 2, 2026.

Flora was born October 22, 1969, in Philippi, a daughter of the late Sesario Jacques Jr. and Candace Lee (Poling) Jacques.

Flora had previously worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). She enjoyed reading and especially treasured the companionship of her beloved K-9 companions, Kingston and Keyser, who were always close by her side.

Family held a special place in Flora’s heart, and she cherished the time and memories shared with those she loved. She is survived by her son, Logan Phillips; brother, Matt Jacques; niece, Brittany Kyle and husband, Brandon; as well as extended family and friends who will deeply miss her.

Flora attended St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Philippi.

Jeanne’s family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi, on Saturday October 10, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.  Jeanne will be laid to rest in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
