Serena I am so sorry to hear this. I enjoyed doing your Grandma’s hair when she would come in every week. She was a lovely lady. She would always brag about all of her family. Rest In Peace Wilda. Love and Prayers for you and your family ❤️ 🙏
Wilda Mae Moran, age 93, a resident of Century #1, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2026, at United Hospital Center following a brief decline in health.
Wilda was born on May 9, 1933, in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of the late Clifford “Tip” and Lucy (Parsons) True.
On November 3, 1950, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, William Jackson “Jack” Moran, who preceded her in death on July 22, 2011. Together, they shared over 60 years of marriage, building a life centered around love, family, and cherished memories.
Wilda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family and home. She was known for keeping a meticulous house, always making sure everything was just right. She especially enjoyed decorating for the holidays, bringing warmth and beauty into her home for every season. Wilda loved painting, working around her house, and preparing delicious home-cooked meals. She was an exceptional cook, and her family will forever cherish the many meals and memories shared around her table.
Above all, Wilda’s greatest joy was her family. She devoted much of her life to caring for her children and grandchildren, always making sure those she loved were well taken care of. She also enjoyed listening to music, with Mickey Gilley being her all-time favorite artist. Wilda previously attended the Ward Church.
Wilda is survived by her three sons, Garry William Moran, Anthony “Tony” Blaine Moran and wife Alice, and Roger Alan Moran and wife June; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Louise Ward, along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Wilda was preceded in death by son William Jackson “Jacky” Moran, daughter, Jaqueline Haddix; and siblings, Martha Payne, Marlene Smith, James True, Bid True, Buck True, Buddy True, Gloria Vance, and Marian Kelly.
Wilda’s family will welcome friends at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N.
