Arlene Delauder

Arlene (Snider) Delauder passed away on Monday March 21, 2011 at the Villages of Wilkes in North Wilkesboro, NC where she made her home for the last 5 years. She was the daughter of Olen Henry Snider and Ruby Clarice Jones of Philippi, WV She was married to Richard Scott Delauder and had two daughters. She was preceded in death by siblings Olen Junior Snider , Gary Snider, Wilma (Snider) Delauder, and her parents.
She is survived by her daughters, Adrena (Delauder) Losh and husband Greg, Sherri (Delauder) Brooks and husband Tony, and five grandchildren Justin Brooks, Chelsea Losh, Alex Losh, Sam Losh, and Ricky Losh. Surviving siblings are Richard Snider and wife Nancy, and Robert Snider and wife Marsha.
Alrene retired from Citizens Bank in Morgantown, WV where she was Head Teller and served as Board secretary. Alrene was very involved in the Monongalia Historical Society with the mission of preserving the ingenuity of the historical properties. She was very loved by her family and traveled with them whenever possible. She will be extremely missed.
Funeral service will be held at Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday March 26, at 1 pm Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.

I had the extreme pleasure of seeing Arlene regularly at Citizens Bank. She ALWAYS had a smile and a warm welcome to all. She was truly a lovely lady.
Sherri, My sympathies to you and your family. I have many found memories of going to your house after school and of your mom, she always had a smile on her face and was such a nice person. She was always so good to my grandma Mary at the bank she helped her so many times.

Sherri and Adrena, We are so very sorry for the loss of your mother. Today (9/6/11) we learned of her passing and expressing these words this way is very difficult.
