William Jobie Lantz of Wellington Hts., age 75, passed away on June 16, 2013.
Jobie was born on June 20, 1937, to the late William Junior Lantz and Lucy (Pitman) Lantz.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Wagner) Lantz, they were married on June 22, 1958.
He is survived by one son, Gregory Lantz, (Lorretta), Kearneysville, and one daughter, Rebecca Baisi (Gary) of Gerrardstown. Three grandchildren, Pamela Lantz, Oak Hill, Michael Lantz, Silver Spring, MD, and Kaitlyn Baisi, Gerrardstown. Also surviving are siblings, Myrtle (Dale) Nestor, Beallsville, MD, Paul (Sandy) Lantz, Belington, Jerry (Jeni) Lantz, Philippi and Judith (Robert) Arbogast, Belington. Preceding him in death were three brothers, Michael, Charles and Winfield “Sam” Lantz.
Jobie graduated from Philippi High School in 1955, and was a member of the Barbour Church of Christ.
Jobie was a retired carpenter, who enjoyed spending time on the family farm.
He served in the U.S. Army, Engineer Division, from September 25, 1961-Septmber 24, 1963. He was honorably discharged.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday, June 18 from 6-8 pm and on Wednesday, June 19 from 8-11 am the service hour with Evangelist Warren Kenny, of Martinsburg, WV presiding. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery. Due to health reasons the family of Jobie Lantz can only accept silk, or dish garden plants, or in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

William Edgar Lantz, age 64, a resident of Franklin passed away Tuesday December 15, 2009 in the Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, VA. He was born April 14, 1945 in Cassidy, WV a son of the late Howard Riley and Mary Olive (Knotts) Lantz. Surviving is;

Mr. Lantz was preceded in death by two half-brothers; Richard and Wilbur Lantz
Mr. Lantz worked as an assembler for the Hanover Shoe Company. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid hunter.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday December 17 from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday December 18 from 8 a.m. -12 p.m. the service hour with Rev. David Jessie officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Hinkleville.
