Timmy Allen Wilson

Tim Wilson passed away at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh on March 22, 2018 at the age of 60. Tim was born in Philippi, West Virginia on January 2, 1958 to Junior Elliott Wilson(deceased) and Goldia Marie Auvil Wilson (deceased). Tim graduated from Philip Barbour High School in 1976. Tim is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joyce Wilson. They were married at Shiloh Church on July 29, 1977. They had two daughters Emily and husband Adam Starks, and Erin and husband Tim Friez; four grandchildren Jayden, Isaiah, Susannah and Lily; a special nephew and favorite hunting buddy, Elijah Heater; one brother Gale and wife Janet Wilson, and three sisters Helen and husband Bill(deceased) Mouser, Kathy and husband David Hoffman, and Dorcas and husband Larry Moore; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Tim was baptized and a member of the Shiloh Church of the Brethren. He loved his family and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Tim enjoyed hunting and loved spending time in the woods. He also enjoyed music, writing songs, and played several instruments. He loved working with wood and building things. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday March 27, from 5-8 pm and on Wednesday March 28, from 8 -11 am. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am with Pastor Lester Lind officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Church of the Brethren Cemetery.     I am so sorry and I have been thinking/praying for his family. I worked with Tim at Davis Memorial, and got to know him over the years. Tim was one heck of a person, and he always talked about his family, and hunting with his nephew. Please always cherish his memories, as he was a special person. I know I am going to cherish him, as he was one great man. He treated everybody with kindest and respect, and I wish everyone was like him, and it would be a better world. I will keep you all in my prayers, as I know this is a difficult time for his family. Please RIP Tim, and I will always remember you as one great man and one very special person. Thanks for being my friend, and to his family, you all are very blessed to have known Tim all of these years. I hope you all will be comforted, and wrap your arms around his Great memories.

  23. Tim was a wonderful co-worker and friend; often we talked of nature and depending on the season, we compared notes about the outdoors (birds we saw, mast, game animals, anything unusual). He was always busy but always had a funny story or joke for everyone. It appeared he could fix anything and he was happy everyday. Our grief cannot compare to those closest to him, but we do miss him greatly.

    I'm sending you prayers of comfort during this time. Tim was such a great co-worker and friend to all of us. I remember when he went with us and we all got all eyes operated on.
    Our Danielle was just learning to drive and she drove us home that day lol. He was making jokes the whole way. We will miss him greatly as I know you will too. Till we all meet again. The halls at DMC just won't be the same. Take comfort in knowing your husband was a friend to many and brought joy to us all.
