David Lee Smith age 56 a resident of Maple St. Philippi passed away February 28, 2010 in Monongalia General Hospital. He was born November 14, 1953 in Ada, Ohio a son of the late Ned P. and Anabel E. (Stemple) Smith. Surviving is; Pam, Devon and husband Andy and Kent and wife Danielle. Two sisters, Stephanie and husband Don Jones, Mt. Clare, WV Misty A. Stevens, Parkersburg, WV Two Brothers, Larry H. and wife Marianne Smith, Bridgeport, WV Brian K. Smith, Moatsville One grandson, Eli Beymer Freeman Several Nieces and Nephews Mr. Smith was an inspector for the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection. He was a member of the Philippi Presbyterian Church. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday March 2, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 8-3 p.m. the service hour with Rev. Dr. Dan Unger officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.

  6. I really hated to hear about Daves death. We were good friends the whole time I lived in Philippi. Dave enjoyed having fun and we had a lot of good times. My condolences to all his family members.
