Barbara Jane England

Barbara Jane England, age 73, a resident of Belington and a former resident of Philippi, passed away Thursday April 29, 2021 in Ruby Memorial Hospital. Barbara was born May 13, 1947 in Barbour County a daughter of the late William Henry and Lucille Maxine (Swiger) England. Surviving is four children, Tammy Fridley of Philippi Brenda Richard and husband David of Belington George Fridley and wife Christine of Moatsville Melissa Fridley of Morgantown Sisters, Linda Bennett and husband Edwin of Buckhannon Jean Stewart of Bridgeport Henrietta Knotts of Belington Brother, William England of Grafton 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren Barbara was preceded in death by brothers, Roger and Steven England Barbara enjoyed watching TV especially Walker Texas Ranger, she loved to talk on the phone and read her bible. She attended the Apostolic Church of Philippi Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Sunday May 2, from 5-8 pm and on Monday May 3, from 8- 11 am. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am with Rev. Rick Hymes officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Due to the Governor’s Mandate face masks and social distancing will be required for everyone attending the services.
