Jeffrey A. Phillips, age 53, a resident of Belington, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday November 23, 2017 at his residence. He was born April 23, 1964 in Philippi a son of the late Estle and Lucille Virginia (McDaniel) Phillips. Jeff was united in marriage on May 27, 1995 to Angela Joy (Murphy) Phillips who survives at home. Also surviving Sister, Judy Bryant, of Philippi Brother, Jerry Phillips and wife Carolyn of Belington Mother-in-law Janice Murphy of Philippi Nephews, Scott Cross of Philippi, Danny Bryant II of Clarksburg, JP Phillips of Belington Nieces, Cheryl Hawkins of Philippi, Brandy Phillips of Loris, SC Special friend, Bob Coontz of Philippi Feline companions, Mr. Kitty, Buttercup, and Midnight Jeff was preceded in death by father-in-law, James G. Murphy. He worked as a custodian for Philip Barbour High School, Philippi Middle School, and in earlier years he worked at Jack’s Texaco. Jeff enjoyed farming and was a member of the Jerusalem United Methodist Church. In honor of Jeff’s request cremation will be honored.

So very sorry to all of u during this difficult times, we r so very very sorry, had prayers for all of u at Silent Grove Church, he would sometimes pop in on us on sunday nights, sometimes mornings, a few times, but we all loved him, and love to see him come and see us, so God Bless all of u in the days, weeks, and months ahead, we pray he gives u strength, wisdom, and peace about all of this, Jeff is now with his precious Lord and Savior, he is rejoicing, and we r weeping, again we will continue to pray all of u.
