Blonda "Juny" Hollen, Jr.

Blonda “Juny” Hollen Jr., age 91, a resident of Philippi, passed away Sunday May 16, 2021 at his residence. Juny was born October 28, 1929 in Philippi, a son of the late Blonda Hollen Sr. and Grace Dell (Boehm) Hollen. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Elizabeth (Taylor) Hollen, son, Patrick R. Hollen of Volga; daughter, Beth R. Conklin and husband Tim of Elkins; daughter, Janette M. Snider and husband Doug of Cumming, GA; Seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Juny was preceded in death by brother, Billy Hollen and wife Virginia, Kermit Hollen and wife Helen, Bobby Hollen and wife Eloise, and Kyle Hollen and wife Katie, one son, Michael D. Hollen Juny served in the US Air Force and served in the Korean War. After serving in the war he came back home to work in the family business at the B&S Cleaners. Upon closing of the cleaners he went to work at the Philippi Post Office until his retirement on November 30, 1991. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday May 20, from 4-8pm and on Friday from 8am- 2 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to Mt. Hospice 1002 S. Crim Ave. Belington, WV 26250.
