Willard Whitehair

Willard Whitehair, age 81, a resident of Elk St. Philippi passed away on Thursday June 7, 2018 at his residence. Willard was born June 18, 1936 in Simpson, WV a son of the late Columbus and Bertha (Croston) Whitehair. He was united in marriage on June 28, 1997 to Diane (Kaprosy) Whitehair who survives at home. Also surviving Son, Rick Whitehair of Canton, OH Brother, Junior Croston and wife Bessie of Philippi Bobby Croston and wife Toni of Canton, OH Freddie Croston and wife Shirley of Canton, OH Paul Croston and wife Shirley of Grafton Tommie Croston and wife Trish of Canton, OH Charles Croston of Philippi Sisters, Norita Queen of Morgantown Junita Mayle of Canton, OH Nora Mayle and husband Stan of Grafton Linda Kennedy and husband Larry of Philippi Brenda Mayle and husband John of Philippi Grandson, Tyler Christopher of Canton, OH, Step grandson Noah Colline of White Sulphur Springs, WV He was preceded in death by brother, Robert Whitehair and sister, Betty Stolis Willard was a laborer for Joe Corbi’s Wholesale Pizza in Darnestown, MD. He enjoyed fishing, and was Pentecostal by faith. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Sunday June 10, from 3-8 pm and on Monday June 11, from 8 am- 2 pm the service hour with Rev. Ezik Norris officiating. Interment will follow in the Simpson Cemetery.
