Edwin Junior Carte, age 83, a resident of Moatsville, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at his residence. Ed was born December 14, 1936 in Alderson, WV a son of the late Ray and Pearl (Bennett) Carte. Ed was united in marriage to his wife of 64 years, Maxine (Bolyard) Carte who survives at home. Ed was preceded in death by brothers, Russell and Bennie Carte. He was a member of Carpenters Union Local # 1590. Ed was an avid farmer.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Sunday November 8, from 2-8 pm and on Monday November 9, from 8 am- 2 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm with Pastor Todd Mouser officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
