Dorothy Geer

Dorothy Grace (Daugherty) Geer, age 86, a resident of Rt. 1 Union Community passed away Monday April 18, 2011 at the home of her daughter. She was born February 4, 1925 in Independence Community Philippi a daughter of the late Seymour and Sylvia (Burner) Daugherty. She was united in marriage on September 6, 1952 to Daniel Richard Lewis Geer who preceded her in death on March 7, 1977. Surviving are: Three daughters: Shelia Daugherty and husband Henry of Philippi Charlene Todd and husband Tom Annabelle Singleton both of Lawton, OK Five brothers: Roy Dadisman and wife Barb of Philippi William "Hank" Geer Richard Geer Danny Geer all of Lawton, OK Matthew Geer of St. Louis, MO One sister: Faye Morrell of Warren, OH 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren Mrs. Geer was preceded in death by three brothers, five sisters, and one grandson. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday April 19, at 1:30 pm at the Pitman Cemetery with Speaker Ernie Daugherty officiating.
