Wayne Lee Daugherty

Wayne Lee Daugherty, age 68, a resident of Philippi, passed away Tuesday January 25, 2022 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburg, PA. Wayne was born November 24, 1953 in Baltimore, MD a son of the late Harold and Margaret Peggy (Johnson) Daugherty. Wayne was united in marriage to Susan (Triplett) Daugherty who survives at home. Also surviving are children, Timothy Daugherty and wife Erin of Jane Lew Ryan Daugherty of Maryland Brogan Daugherty of Maryland Brothers, Dennis Daugherty and wife Marlene of Union Community David Daugherty of Roconda of Union Community Numerous grandchildren Wayne worked as a pipe liner/construction worker for Union Local #0984. He served in the US Air Force. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved participating in Civil War Reenactments. Wayne had the gift to gab, and he also enjoyed traveling, especially Chincoteague, VA Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Sunday January 30, from 10 am- 8 pm, and on Monday January 31, from 8 am- 12 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 pm with Pastor Wade McGee officiating. Interment will follow in the Pitman Cemetery.
