Allen W. Blevins, age 72, a resident of Montrose, passed away Wednesday December 25, 2019 at his residence. Allen was born April 14, 1947, in Felton, PA a son of the late Willard B. and Edith M. (Hillary) Blevins. Allen was united in marriage on January 24, 1977 to Nancy L. (Herman) Blevins who survives at home. Also surviving
Two daughters, Dennette Boyd and husband Jr. of Felton, PA
Tina Marquardt and husband Christopher, Marietta, PA
Sister, Janet Grafton of Dover, PA
Two brothers, Willard Blevins, Jr. of Red Lion, PA
Robert Blevins of Red Lion, PA
Several nieces and nephews
Five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren
Allen was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary B. Frey, Norma Jean Smith
Allen worked as welder, he served in the US Army serving in two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Red Lion, PA, and American Legion Post # 543, he enjoyed hunting, and working on cars.
In honor of Allen’s request cremation will be honored. Walk slowly down that long, long path for soon I’ll follow you.

One of my favorite memories of you Allen, was the story you use to tell… about how you and Paul Haugh, came upon Bigfoot, on your way home from fishing… as I’m writing this, I’m laughing and crying….and dam you were a good cook…gonna miss you calling me Tadpo…. Dont fret any about Nancy, she’s gonna be alright….
My memories of Allen are that he was always a very happy man. I remember when I was young and his returning from Vietnam and visiting us and he lifted a heavy barbell with one hand over his head at our home. I thought he was such a strong man. My visiting the water hole later in life and arm wrestling and wrestling with Uncle Allen, he always won, but he never made me feel like I lost. I will always remember him as a good man and pass on those fond memories to my children. Allen was a man of his own and always stayed strong by the ones he loved and the ones that loved him. To his family, know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time!

My memories of Allen or not only one but all memories since the day that I met him are the best that I have he was a great man that taught me not to put up with people s*** but don't give none he was a good man to my family and he was one of the best men that I knew .him and his wife were there. For me and my family through hard times and I'm hoping I can be there through these hard times I made him a promise that I will keep and I will do it with pride I will never meet anybody that I trust it as much as him or respect as much as him. We played music we worked on cars we worked in my basement many nights and above all we had fun I have more memories then I could ever imagine To tell but all I can say is Sam's club and his beloved wife would know what that means I'm going to miss you buddy don't worry about things here cuz as long as I'm on this Earth I will do as you ask thanks for being a friend you meant the world to me don't know quite what I'm going to do without you one day at a time you'll be missed and I'm sorry for all the times I was late but you know I'd always be there.lol
To the family, my heartfelt condolences for your loss. Please find comfort in the knowledge that soon God will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and “death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things (will) have passed away.”(Rev. 21:3,4) May this promise give you comfort now and a real hope for the future. My deepest sympathies.
