Norma Lou (Brown) Shaw, age 52, a resident of Rt. 2 Philippi passed away Sunday December 20, 2009 at her residence. She was born February 16, 1957 in Gouverneur, NY a daughter of the late Bruce "Buster" Anderson Brown and Alice Jean (Woodrow) Brown. She was formerly married to Steven M. Shaw who survives at Philippi. Also surviving is;
One daughter; Stephanie "Michelle" Shaw of Philippi
One son; Steven Lynn and wife Summer Knight of Philippi
Two brothers; James and Debbie Brown of Linden, VA
Terry and Kylene Brown of Charleston
Two grandchildren; Ethan Lane and Darcy Diane Knight
Ms. Shaw was preceded in death by one son; Robert James Shaw
Norma worked as a certified nursing assistant at Broaddus Hospital, she also worked as a cook for the Philippi Inn, Medallion Restaurant, and was owner and cook of the Main Street Cafe. She was an avid Bowler.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Monday December 21, from 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday December 22, from 8 a.m. -8 p.m. and on Wednesday December 23, from 8-11 a.m. the service hour with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Crossroads Cemetery at Tacy.

Oh Michelle I am so sorry about your mom. I am here if you need me you have been through so much hang in there you have many friends that love you and are there for you. I love you! I will never forget norma she was one of a kind and I have so many memories that I will carry with me.
