Evan Michael Snider

August 2, 1986 ~ March 12, 2021

Evan Michael Snider, age 34, a resident of Orlando, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Friday March 12, 2021 at his residence. Evan was born August 2, 1986 in Philippi a son of Kevin Snider and wife Debbie of Philippi and Tammy (Semmelman) Snider of Philippi. Also surviving are sisters, Amy Snider and companion Nick Ross of St Marys GA Samantha Snider and companion Zac Nardo of Clarksburg Nieces and nephews, Peyton Snider and Devan Bogle of St. Marys GA, Kylan, Matteo, and Aurora Nardo of Clarksburg Aunts, Teresa Nestor and husband Dewayne of Nestorville, Teena Snider and husband OJ of Philippi, and Kelli Hadsell and husband Bruce of Bridgeport, Uncle Raymond Freeman of Moatsville Grandmother, Barbara Snider of Philippi Several cousins, friends and family and his K9 companion, Nino who he loved dearly. Evan was preceded in death by grandparents Donald and Shirley Semmelman, and Russell Snider. Evan served in the US Marine Corps. Having been stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan, as well as several other countries. Evan worked as a general manager for Soundbar in Orlando FL, music was Evan’s life as an artist, promoter, and entertainer. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday March 20, from 6-8 pm and on Sunday March 21, from 10am- 2 pm. A celebration of life and time of reflection will be at 2 pm. Interment will follow in the Tacy Crossroads Cemetery with military honors being accorded.

My name is David J and I went on tour with evan back in 2017…he was a great man and an amazing artist…I was in contact with him this past month as he had booked the final date of my artist's upcoming tour…we are dedicating the show to him…this was so heartbreaking to hear we were excited to link up after these past 3/4 years…i'm so sorry for your loss the world lost a great person..RIP Evan

  3. Tammy, I just read your son's obituary. I had not heard. My condolences for your loss. I looked through all the photos and his love of music, his Marine service, I know you were so proud of him. Thoughts and prayers for strength and comfort during this difficult time.
