Edward J. Serback

Edward Joseph Serback, age 82, a resident of Arden Community passed away Saturday January 4, 2020 in Ruby Memorial Hospital. Ed was born December 16, 1937 in Barbour County a son of the late John George and Mary (Rusnak) Serback. Ed is survived by Sisters, Sandra Mallackanch of Conn. Rosemary Bowmar of Moatsville Brothers, Paul Serback of Moatsville David Serback of Orlando, FL Special niece, Beth Serback Great nieces and nephews, Justice, Alexis, Katey, and Ethan Ed was preceded in death by one sister, and seven brothers. Ed retired from the US Air Force as a Tech Sergeant, he also was in charge of the survival areas on the base, and was a parachute packer, Ed also retired from the Barbour County Schools in the maintenance department. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Monday January 6, from 10 am- 1 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm with Rev. Ezik Norris officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
