Bonnie Jean (Bennett) Pitzer, age 63, a resident of Thornton, passed away Monday July 20, 2020 in the Taylor Health Care Center after a courageous battle with MDS cancer. Bonnie was born January 28, 1957 in Akron, OH a daughter of the late Clarence James and Laura Juanita (McCourt) Bennett. Surviving is-

Bonnie was a volunteer EMT for the Barbour County EMS in the late 80’s, she worked as a waitress at Mellie’s Restaurant, as a cook at Broaddus Hospital, and in the bakery/produce department at Grafton Wal-Mart. She enjoyed playing bingo and making crafts and painting, Bonnie loved to travel and listen to her scanner, and had a great love for animals.
In honor of Bonnie’s request cremation will be honored. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff and doctors at Taylor Health Care Center for the level of care giving to Bonnie.

I am so , so very sorry for the loss if Bonnie. She shares many memories with myself and family while living in North Philippi. Such great memories in that neighborhood! Her spirit will always remain in North Philippi! Prayers to all of the family!!
