Carney “Studbolt” Mayle, age 67, a resident of Philippi passed away Tuesday January 28, 2014 at his residence. He was born December 8, 1946 in Barbour Co. a son of the late Floyd and Wyonia (Newman) Mayle. He was united in marriage to Eileen (Mayle) Mayle how survives at home. Also surviving; five children

One sister; Irene Mayle of Philippi
Eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren
Mr. Mayle was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. He worked as a truck driver for Bensons Trucking. Mr. Mayle enjoyed watching TV and playing with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the best dad in the world and will be missed by all.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday January 30, from 5-8 pm and on Friday January 31, from 8 am- 8 pm and on Saturday February 1, from 8 am – 1pm the service hour with Rev. Jay Mayle officiating. Interment will follow in the Welch Cemetery.







Eileen and children I would like for you all to know how sad I am to hear of Carnies passing and let you know you are in my thoughts and prayers.I pray that God will wrap you in his arms and give you peace and comfort through this sad time in your lives.Carnie was a instant friend from my first memory of knowing him and I will miss seeing him when I make my summer trips down home.
