Joanna Smith

Joanna Smith age 84 a resident of Maple Ave. Philippi passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015 in Broaddus Hospital. She was April 1, 1931 in Barbour County a daughter of the late Perry and Mabel (White) Smith. Surviving are- several nieces and nephews one brother, Robert Smith of Montgomery, WV Ms. Smith was preceded in death by three sisters; May Poling Mary Teter and Betty Santullo; one infant brother. She was a housekeeper for Alderson Broaddus College; she cleaned for First National Bank and was a housekeeper and nanny for Tom Wolfe. She enjoyed her pets, Cocco and Mocha. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 9 am- 3 pm the service hour with Rev. Dave Snyder officiating.
