Jeff, Joe, and family of Pearl:. I met Pearl in 1964, when I was 17 and started my first lab job. She was the first to start teaching me about lab medicine and procedure. I began to learn how to be a grownup. When I was in MT training, Pearl was a patient and thorough teacher, and I learned many details that helped me later. She loved her boys so much, and was a very good woman. I will never forget her.
So sorry for your loss. Lots of prayers
We r so sorry to hear the loss that u have, Pearl was such a nice, charming, outgoing, and beautiful lady, she was a good wife, and a wonderful Mother, I so remembered the time I was admitted at Broaddus and she was taking my blood, I told her it seems like I see u a lot, she said good things drop by when u r not expecting it, and I told her, u always come when I am asleep, she said now u will sleep better tonight, I said r u going to b here, she said no not tonight, I said well then maybe I can sleep, lol, but she would talk to me with things about the water, and how cold is it, then she would pull out that needle, could not win for loosing with Pearl. I pray God will b with all of u in the days, weeks, months, and years ahead, may God comfort u in the terrible days u r facing.

Dear Joe and Family,
Thinking of you and your family during this sad time. Your mom was always such a beautiful woman. Take care.
Jeff and Joe – you are both in my prayers for peace and comfort. As you know I met Pearl in 1960. She was a very knowledgeable lady sharing that knowledge with the many students she taught in Medical Technology at The Myers Clinic/Broaddus Hospital Laboratories and also Alderson-Broaddus College. May she rest in peace.
