Lowell Dennis Thomas, age 81, a resident of Philippi, passed away peacefully Wednesday July 21, 2021 in the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center with his family by his side. Lowell was born November 16, 1939 in Ritchie County, a son of the late Herbert H. Thomas and Goldie (Primm) Wedekmm. Lowell was united in marriage to Edwina (Lipscomb) Thomas who preceded him in death.
Surviving is; daughter, April Dean and husband Colin of Burnsville
Son, Mark Anthony Thomas and wife Angela Lynn of Stewarts Run Community
Sister, Marlene Norman of FL
Brother, Roy Thomas of TN
Grandchildren, Dalton Dean, Isaac Thomas, Axl Thomas
Great grandchild, Alice Dean
Lowell was also preceded in death by siblings, Alberta Ayers, Judy Duff, Herbert Nelson Thomas, Kenneth Wedekmm
Lowell worked as a truck driver for North Fork Forest Products Inc. in Richie County, he served in the US Army from 1961-1967. He enjoyed fishing, working in his garden, watching westerns, and working crossword puzzles.
In honor of Lowell’s request there will be no services, and cremation will be honored.
