Charles “Chick” Joseph Sandreth, age 64, a resident of Teter Heights Buckhannon, passed away Sunday July 22, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 16, 1953 in Wheeling, WV a son of the late Charles Richard Sandreth and Mary Catherine West. Charles was united in marriage on August 31, 1974 to Doris J. (Stucin) Sandreth who survives at home. Also surviving-
Two daughters, Jessica Garrett and husband Cole
Holly Jo Tenney and husband Jason both of Buckhannon
Son, C. Jason Sandreth and companion Kenna Cable of Philippi
Three sisters, Sandy K. Bauduin and husband Jules of SC
Mary E. White and husband JR of OH
Rebecca J. Parr and husband Brian of Wellsburg, WV
Step-mother, Shirley J. Sandreth of Wellsburg, WV
Seven living grandchildren, Morgan Knicely, Payton Knicely, Katie Sandreth, Tyler Sandreth, Cody Garrett and wife Emma, Cade Garrett, Urijah Cable
Several loving nieces and nephews
His great buddy and K-9 companion, Cubby
Charles was preceded in death by sister, Sharon Sandreth
He worked as a coal miner for 19 years, he later worked as a mechanic for Weyerhaeuser Company. Charles was an avid hunter and golfer, he was Mr. Fix It and could fix anything.
Charles was a member of the Moose Lodge Buckhannon Chapter #319, and the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday July 28, 2018 at 11 am in the Reger Cemetery with Fr. Ron Nikodem as Celebrant.
