Robert Linger

Robert “Bob” G. Linger age 72 a resident of Maple Ave. Philippi passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 in Broaddus Hospital. He was born April 30, 1943 in Buckhannon, WV a son of the late G.W. and Melva Pauline (Cutright) Linger. He was united in marriage to Brenda J. (Dadisman) Linger who survives at home. Also surviving, One daughter, Kelli D. Robinson and husband Steve of Philippi One son, Ryan D. Linger of Martinsburg, WV Three sisters, Janet Hershman and husband Jerry of Cuyahoga Falls, OH Betty Gainer of Surf Side, SC Donna Wilson and husband Jonathan of Winchester, VA Mother-in-Law, Carolyn Dadisman Brother-in-Law, Tom Dadisman and wife Hayley both of Philippi Three nephews- Wesley Hershman, Rodney Gainer and Grant Dadisman Two nieces- Brandi Sutphin and Sarah Sell Six great-nieces Grand-Dog, Freckles Robinson Mr. Linger retired as a Water Plant Operator for the City of Philippi He liked to fish and hunt; watch baseball and football on T.V. and spend time with his family He was Protestant by faith Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 5-8 pm and on Sunday, July 26 from 8am-2 pm the service hour with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Entombment will follow in Bryan Memorial Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Bob’s memory to Mountain Hospice 1002 S. Crim Ave. Belington, WV 26250.

  2. We are so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was a dear friend through some of the most impressionable years of all of our lives. We may have put distance between our lives throughout the years, but the good memories have always been present and will always be. RIP dear friend until we meet again.
