Patricia “Patty” Ellen Wright, age 64, a resident of Moatsville passed away unexpectedly on Monday February 24, 2014 at her residence. She was born April 14, 1949 in Philippi a daughter of the late Steve Kurucz Sr. and Sophia (Smrek) Kurucz. She was united in marriage on May 9, 1971 to Murl A. Wright who survives at home. Two sons; Richard M. Wright of Belington
Steven B. Wright of Moatsville
One sister; Delores Upton of Cherry Hill Rd. Philippi
One brother; Steve Kurucz, Jr. of Philippi
Patty worked as a flower designer for Thornhill’s Florist for over 35 years. She enjoyed gardening and was a Methodist by faith.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday February 26, from 4-8 pm and on Thursday February 27, from 8 am – 2 pm the service hour. Interment will in the Crossroads Cemetery at Tacy.

Patty was a great friend of mine. Her and I thought so much of each other. Shared lots of joy and lots of unnecessary sorrow. Patty had a kind heart that extended out to so many over the years. She truly was a wonderful person.
