Brian Bender

April 27, 1978 ~ June 5, 2012

Brian Scott Bender, age 34, a resident of Fairmont, WV departed this world unexpectedly on June 5, 2012. He was born April 27, 1978 in Clarksburg, a son of Galetta Jo Bender of Meadland Rd. Bridgeport, WV and Russell Lee Tichenor of Bridgeport, WV. Maternal grandparents are S. Joan (Corder) Ware Tait, who still survives, of Meadland Rd, Bridgeport, and the late Larry Ware of Berryburg, WV and step-grandfather the late Clarence Richard Tait of Meadland Rd, Bridgeport. Paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs Harry Tichenor of Enterprise, WV He is survived by his Aunt Lorrie and her husband Richard Maxson of Clarksburg, and their children Lawrence Anthony and Tori Jo Maxson, his partner in life, J. Christopher Daniels from Fairmont, and his "Auntie Beth" Twigg of Clarksburg, a close family friend. Special mention to close friend, Stacia Poling of Anmore, and his uncle Pete Corder of Galloway and numerous other Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Brian is a 1996 graduate of Grafton High School, Grafton, WV and a 2005 graduate of Alderson-Broaddus College of Philippi, WV with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. During his career as a Registered Nurse, Brain traveled to various states and was dedicated regarding his nursing role and very compassionate to the patients he cared for. He was and avid reader and enjoyed gardening and growing roses, his favorite being a Sterling Rose. Brian will always be remembered for his witty sense of humor, his dedication to his friends and family, and his smiling face. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday June 9, from 5-8 pm and on Sunday June 10, from 8 am -2 pm the service hour with Rev. Patty Post officiating. Interment will follow in the Pt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.   8. I had the privledge of working with Brian for a while he always joked with me and he was a very caring young man I will miss him and his humor very much he was a very special person
