  1. So sorry to hear of Michael's passing, have know him for a very long time, since the 60's. We got together a lot with our friends going swimming at the Sandbar up the river from Philippi and saw him jump in the river as we were getting ready to leave one day to save a kid from drowning with most of his clothes on. Way to many memories to post on here, if you were one of the gang you would know the fun we had . We spent a few nights watching the sky at night for anything that might be a UFO or falling star. We had some good times back then but as we got older we drifted apart , him going to the service and some of us getting married but will never forget the fun we had as teenagers and young adults. He was always a good friend and he will be missed. Rest in Peace Michael, until we meet again. Prayers sent for your family.

  2. We’re so sorry Lousie and the family, Mike was a good friend we will miss him very much he will always be in our hearts

  3. Prayers for the family. Mike was a wonderful person. He never saw a stranger. Rest in peace my friend.

  4. You have my heartfelt condolence and sympathies. Wish I could have met Joseph. I have the Lantz surname within my genealogy and would love to have had the opportunity to have spoke to Joseph Michael about what he knew of the Barbour Co. area Lantz families back to late 1800's. Willing to talk to any of his family., Susie (Heatherly) Birt Hillison

  6. To John, Stephanie and Melissa –

Although I've not had much opportunity to be a part of your lives recently, I have good memories of times spent with you all. Losing your father is a very difficult life experience. My thoughts and prayers are with you now. The Bible promises that the dead will rise and that God is the provider of true comfort. Hopefully, we'll see one another again — a family reunion someday.

    Your Aunt Judy
