Mr. Kennedy was preceded in death by daughter, Cathy L. Kennedy and infant brother Eddie Kennedy.
Mr. Kennedy worked as a security guard for the Barbour County Fairgrounds, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a protestant by faith.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday May 16, from 6-8 pm and on Sunday May 17, from 8 am- 2 pm the service hour with Rev. Wilbert Mayle officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Poke Cemetery.
