Helen Plummer

Helen Virginia Morrison Plummer, age 84, went to be with the lord on December 14, 2013 at Mansfield Place in Philippi where she was a resident there. She was born June 7, 1929 in Clarksburg, WV a daughter of the late Fred and Ella V. Morrison Carpenter. She was married to Calvin Plummer for 55 years who preceded her in death on June 25, 2003. Surviving is three daughters, Donna Williams and husband Butch Peggy Damewood and husband Buster both of Camden on Gauley Brenda Evix and husband Tom of Belington One brother; Ray Morrison and wife Agnes of Craigsville Five grandchildren; Shannon Large and husband Jim, Mike Williams and wife Andrea, Jeff Williams and wife Melissa, Chris Damewood, Matthew Evix and wife Trisha Six great grandchildren; Kendal and McKayla Williams, Ryan Large, Joley, Ellie, and Grayson Williams. Two special friends Susie Cross and Dee Bender Mrs. Plummer was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters. She loved taking walks and listening to country music. She was a loving wife and mother, and a member of the Silent Grove Church. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday December 17, from 4-8 pm and on Wednesday December 18, from 8 – 11am the service hour with Pastor Bryan Headley and Speaker Jessie Shaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Russell Cemetery at Craigsville at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Silent Grove Church 2148 Porter Field Rd. Philippi, WV 26416.
