  9. Dear Gloria and family,
I have fond memories of you and Rick when we were in school at WVU together. I remember the rides from Morgantown to Philippi on the weekends. You two were so perfect for each other. He was one of the nicest people. Kindness is something we don’t forget and so he will always be remembered fondly.
    Love to you all,
    Candy and Rick Shearer

  10. I’m sorry for your loss. I believe I attended Philippi High School and as a Sophomore with Rick. We had become friends by chance for a short time after meeting. I thought he was a nice guy. We had gym together and one day they had boxing and Rick wanted to box me. I was reluctant but did. It started out ok but I got bumped in the nose and saw stars. I backed off till i got my sight back and we spared all the way around the gym. It was fun and I never forgot. I lived in town and don’t remember having other classes with Rick. I guess we hung out with different students. I always wondered what happened to him. Best wishes to the family Larry & Evelyn
