Mary Grace Casto-Piret

Mary Grace Casto-Piret, age 60, a resident of Philippi, was called home by her Lord an Savior Wednesday March 15, 2023. Mary was born May 29, 1962 in Clarksburg, WV to the late Loretta Jean (Davis) Casto and husband Glen, and Harold Hudson. Mary was homemaker whom enjoyed spending her time many years ago leading her daughters Black Diamond Girl Scout Troop, chaperoning school field trips, playing trumpet in the marching band for Roosevelt Wilson High School where she was lovingly known as “Funky Myrtle”. In recent years, she enjoyed spending time with family and riding motorcycles. She is survived by her companion, Ronald Smith; two daughters, Morissa Robinson and husband Tad of Myrtle Beach, SC, Amber Straight of Belmont, WV; and Son, Dylan Piret of Myrtle Beach, SC; two sisters, Jeannie Minard and husband Sam of Stonewood, Sandra Matthey of Salem; one brother, Gary Hudson and wife Janet of Quiet Dell; five grandchildren, Emma Leigh, Sidni Grace, Riley James, Kaylee Rose, and Oliver Zachariah; and several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by and infant sister Tina Marie; her parents Glen and Loretta Casto; one brother-in-law Daniel Matthey; and her beloved boxers, Harley and Allie. In keeping with her wishes Mary will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date to spread her ashes amongst her mother’s grave and upon her father’s home place in Picken, WV
