Michael Warren White

Michael Warren White, age 48, a resident of Philippi, passed away Wednesday April 19, 2023, in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Michael was born October 21, 1974, in Jacksonville, NC a son of Warren Melvin White and Grace Lorene (Reid) White of Philippi. Also surviving are siblings, Stephen White of Jacksonville, NC, and Elizabeth Curry and husband William of Clarksburg, WV. Michael was a member of the Philippi Lions Club; he was always willing in helping the members of the American Legion Post #44. He enjoyed attending and assisting at Artefaktual Comics and Games Store, he loved helping at the Philippi Library and working with Mary Weekley. Michael loved animals and they loved Michael; he was kind to everyone and would always lend a helping hand. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and onsite Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Sunday April 23, from 12- 2 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm with Pastor Sam Haught officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.

  6. I hate to hear of this! Micheal was such a pleasant person to be around. He would call BINGO names for us and he would let my daughter go up and call the numbers. He took great care of his dog daisy and will definitely be missed at the towers.

  7. Michael, your parents were so proud of you. You were a go getter. No matter what you were dealing with, you worked hard to overcome any problems. I wish I had known you better.

  8. I’m sorry to hear the passing of Michael. I didn’t know he was sick and didn’t find out till today of his passing. We became friends online and would send gifts back and forth. He will be missed.
