Tonya Louise Green, age 49, a resident of Philippi passed away Wednesday April 3, 2024. Tonya was born April 25, 1974, in Philippi a daughter of Thomas “Tommy” L. Green and Terri (Pepper) Green.
Tonya was a homemaker, she enjoyed working on her computer and working word searches.
Surviving is her father Thomas “Tommy” Green; uncle Steve Green and wife Sue; aunts, Ann Thrasher and husband Donald, Rositta Baughman, Diane Smith, and husband Rodney; special cousin, Deborah Freeman, as well as several additional cousins.
Tonya was preceded in death by her mother Terri Green.
In following with Tonya’s wishes cremation will be honored. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Tony was a good person. I met her in 2022. When I moved here I joined talking to her. She was good talking then lesson person. I am really gonna miss her. They are really good friends to my to me since I’ve been here she is a good friend of me, I’m gonna miss her so much I will keep the family in my prayers and friends
Tommy, I remember Tonya coming into the IGA when you and I worked together. She was such a sweet person. I remember how her beautiful face would light up as the two of you talked. I pray that God will wrap you in his loving arms and comfort you.
