Michael Edward Corder, age 56, a resident of Galloway passed away Thursday February 27, 2025 in Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Mike was born June 9, 1968 in Clarksburg, WV a son of Wayne “Pete” Dale and Jeanette Sue (Cottrill) Corder.
Mike enjoyed working in the yard, tending to and growing flowers. Mike loved the outdoors he would often gaze into the sky to see the different clouds and beauty.
Mike is survived by his mother Jeanette Corder; siblings Wayne “Butch” Corder Jr. and wife Shelia, Timothy Corder, and Jennifer Welch and husband Christopher; several nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his father Wayne “Pete” Corder.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Monday March 3, from 4- 8pm and on Tuesday March 4, from 9-11 am. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Brown officiating. Following the funeral service cremation will be honored.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Mike was a kind and gentle soul. I got my jazz (pup) off of Mike and my first and ever African violet that is still growing. Mike was a good friend and will be missed.
