Linda Kay (Taylor) Tenney, age 67, a resident of Philippi, West Virginia passed away unexpectedly at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV on Sunday, July 27, 2025 with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Barbour County on September 4, 1957, a daughter of the late Franklin Delano Taylor and the late Shirley June (Thorne) Taylor.
Linda was united in marriage on August 20, 1977 to David Lee Tenney who survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Melissa Brooke (Tenney) Estep and husband, David Estep, Morgantown; one brother, Russell ‘Rusty’ Taylor and wife, Jennifer (Corder) Taylor, Philippi; three grandchildren, Zachary Estep, Anna Estep, and Eli Estep, all of Morgantown; one nephew Logan Ball, Fairmont; and one niece, Hailey Taylor of Philippi.
Linda graduated from Philip Barbour High School in 1975.
Linda worked at Broaddus Hospital for over twenty-years in medical records. She was a United Methodist by faith. Linda enjoyed the simple things in life like her morning cup of coffee and being outside tending to her many plants and flowers.
Linda loved her furry friends and always had a canine companion by her side. She loved and cared for her many beloved pets over the years, especially her Bella who she leaves behind.
Linda adored her grandchildren and her memory will be held close by all who knew her—as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Family and friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St., Philippi, on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment of Linda’s ashes will immediately follow at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
