Betty Noami Garber, age 64, a resident of Philippi, passed away Wednesday June 21, at her residence. Betty was born February 24, 1959, in Philippi a daughter of the late Richard E. Jones and Helen Pearl (Gouer) Jones. Betty was united in marriage on December 1, 1989 to Phillip Matthew Garber who preceded her in death on June 1, 2015.
Betty is survived by children; Helen Everson of Belington, and Brian Everson of Philippi; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; siblings, Leona Carpenter and husband Jr. of Belington, Carol Haught of Moundsville, Jackie Linger of Belington, Richard Jones of Philippi; sister-in-law; Lorinda Jones and nannies girl Topanga of Philippi; several nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by son Thomas “Tommy” Everson; sisters, JoAnn Jones, and Frances Jones; brother, Eddie Jones; sister-in-law Pam Jones.
Betty loved to cook and spend time with her family.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Monday June 26, from 3- 8 pm and on Tuesday June 27, from 8 am- 11:30 am. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in the WV National Cemetery.







To all of Betty’s family and friends in West Virginia – we would like you to know that ever since Phil brought Betty into our family she has held a very special place in our hearts. Betty was a beautiful, fun loving person and we have such great memories of times we shared thru the years. We know that she is now at peace and back with the love of her life, Phil.
