Blaine Anglin

Blaine Anglin, age 91, a resident of Spall Lick Rd. Philippi passed away on Friday July 7, 2017 at his residence. He was born December 9, 1925 in Barbour Co. a son of the late George and Gladys (Burner) Anglin. He was united in marriage in 1947 to Opal V. Anglin who preceded her in death on September 15, 2010. Surviving is One daughter, Jacalyn G. Anglin Four sons; Rodger B. Anglin and wife Jeanne Tim G. Anglin Ted C. Anglin and wife Cheryl Rick E. Anglin all of Philippi One brother; Freddy Anglin of California 15 grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren Blaine was preceded in death by daughter, Delores June Poling, Infant son, Harold G. Anglin, Brothers, Wilford, William, Robert, and Paul Anglin, sisters, Reva McCauley, and Janice Dickenson. Blaine worked at Murphy’s Garage, Keener and Shriver in Grafton, Kines Motor, and retired from Badger Coal Co. He served in the US Army during WWII. He enjoyed working on cars and equipment, he was an avid farmer. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Sunday July 9, from 5-8 pm and on Monday July 10, from 8 am- 2 pm the service hour with Rev. Dr. Robert Sisler officiating. Interment will follow in the EUB Indian Fork Cemetery with military honors being accorded. Monday July 10, 2017, 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Home Click for Map and Directions
