Clifford Swick

Clifford R. Swick Sr., age 82, a resident of Philippi passed away Wednesday November 6, 2013 in Mansfield’s Place of Broaddus Hospital. He was born June 26, 1931 a son of late Howard and Francis (Williams) Swick. He was united in marriage to Betty Jean Swick who preceded him in death September 22, 1992. Surviving are Two sons; Clifford R. Swick Jr. Charles Swick both of Grafton One sister; Evelyn McMasters of Grafton Two brothers; Dearl Swick of Barbour Corner Elmer Swick of Ohio Many nieces and nephews Mr. Swick was preceded in death by two sisters; Ruth who died in infancy and Garnet, four brothers; Howard Swick Jr., Fred Swick, Robert Swick, and Charles Swick. Clifford was employed by the Taylor County Department of Highways and retired in 1993. He served in the US Army Reserve. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday November 9, from 11am- 1 pm the service hour with Pastor Howard Swick officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
