Cynthia Gale Martin, age 68, of Belington, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.

She was born December 17, 1957, in Buckhannon, West Virginia, a daughter of the late John and Louetta (Anderson) Murphy.

Cynthia previously worked as a cashier for the Pantry Store. She enjoyed crafting, camping, listening to music, traveling, and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Joseph Martin and fiancée Crystal Howard; Melissa Allen and husband Robert “Squeak” McDonald; and Justin Martin and wife Crystal Martin. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Joseph Gain, Alexis Lantz, Ambre Martin, Cindy Martin, Jordan Martin, Alex Witman, Alysha Allen, Kaitlyn Marple, Mykaela Marple, Jeremy Marple, Emmalee Marple, Avaiah Martin, and Joella Martin; and great-grandchildren Avery Hawkins and Jaxson Hawkins.

Also surviving are her brothers, Steven Murphy and Tim Murphy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pam Waream.

Cremation will be honored.
