Debra Kay (Exline) Starkey, 69, of Belington, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025. She was born on June 7, 1956, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the daughter of the late John Exline and Dora Jane (Fowler) Exline.
Debra was united in marriage to her loving husband, Tim Starkey, with whom she shared many years of love and companionship.
She is survived by her children, Daniel Setler and Jason Setler and wife Amanda; stepchildren Timothy Matthew Starkey Jr., Shawn Michael Starkey and wife Amanda, Tyler Starkey, Brian Starkey, Elizabeth Starkey, and Anthony Starkey and companion Alexi; grandchildren Emily and Jakub Setler, Justin Setler, Chevy Michael Starkey, Landon, Angel Starkey, and Colt Michael Starkey; and step-grandchildren Michael and Sierra.
Also surviving are her sister Pauletta Hoffman and husband Mike, along with several nieces and nephews. Deborah was preceded in death by her siblings Betty Exline, Shelby Taylor, and Johnny Exline.
Debra worked for several years at Rosewood Nursing Home in Grafton in housekeeping. Debra loved to cook and was happiest when surrounded by family for summer cookouts or when baking something special to share. She adored her K-9 companions, Dixie and Dozer, who were always by her side. She enjoyed listening to music, watching her favorite shows American Pickers and Dumpster Divers, and spending time outdoors on beautiful days. Most of all, Deborah cherished the time she spent with her family and friends who meant so much to her.
Family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home and On-Site Crematory, 220 N. Walnut Street, Philippi, on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 2:00–7:00 p.m.
