Delores Jane Marsh

Delores Jane Marsh, age 80, a resident of Moatsville, passed away Wednesday September 27, 2023 at her residence. Delores was born September 11, 1943 in Barbour County, WV a daughter of the late Allen Arthur and Bloomie Mae (Poe) Duckworth. She was united in marriage on February 25, 1961 to her husband Teddy “Ted” Ray Marsh who preceded her in death on December 14, 2014. Surviving are her children Delores R. “Jake” Marsh and her companion Jeff of Philippi and JW Marsh and his wife Ana of Moatsville. Her sister Norma Bolyard of Philippi and great-granddaughter Nova Marsh also survive. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and her grandson Dylan James Marsh. Delores was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, quilting, gardening, Tuesday night church sings, and Sunday morning church. She was a member of the Free Gospel Church. Delores loved spending time with her great granddaughter Nova and was willing to help the community at anytime. Family and friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday, September 29 from 3 pm – 8 pm and on Saturday, September 30 from 8 am – 3 pm. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm with Reverand Mike Rexroad officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Morris Cemetery.
