Elaine Bolyard

Elaine Gertrude Bolyard age 87 a resident of Rt. 2 Stalnaker Road Philippi passed away on Wednesday November 7, 2012 in Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Center in Elkins. She was born September 9, 1925 in Barbour Co. a daughter of the late Albert and Leona (Wright) Barton. She was united in marriage August 7, 1943 to Hubert K. Bolyard, Sr. who preceded her in death July 3, 1995. Surviving is, One son, Hubert K. Bolyard, Jr. and wife Carolyn Sue of Rt. 2Philippi Two brothers, Albert G. Barton of Pinson, AL Ralph Barton and wife Peggy of Baltimore, MD One granddaughter, Becky Bolyard of Junior Ms. Bolyard was preceded in death by three brothers John Barton, Robert Barton and Charles Barton; and one infant sister. Ms. Bolyard was a homemaker, and retired from the laundry department of Broaddus Hospital. She loved gardening, enjoyed cooking, working puzzle books and spending time with her cats. She was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday, November 9 from 5-8 pm and on Saturday from 8-10 am the service hour with Pastor Rick Price officiating. Interment will follow in the Crossroads Cemetery at Tacy.
