  3. My son was born prematurely at 28 weeks,by C-section.He weighed 3 pounds. Every time I opened my eyes that first night and next day, Dr Krieder was there taking care of him and reassuring me that he would be okay. And he was…5 weeks later I brought him home. He continued to be my children's doctor. When my son was in middle school he started telling me about his new best friend, which turned out to be Steve Krieder. We began a different relationship with Dr. Krieder and Mary Beth, as parents concerned and enjoying our sons.(Even getting them out of jail). LOL. Dr. Krieder has meant a great deal to our family as well as to the community he lived in. He will be greatly missed. Our love and prayers go out to all of you. 7. To the Kreider family, My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Dr. Kreider was my doctor for years and as far as I am concerned, he was one of the very best. He always took great care of me when I was sick. Not only was he my doctor; but he was my neighbor, hunting buddy and friend. The community will surely miss him-I know I will. May God Bless You All and Give You Peace.

  8. Dr. Kreider was the first pediatrician my children ever saw. He had the patience of a saint, and compassion beyond words. Such a tall, quiet man who seemed to know the answers to every problem. I would never take my boys anywhere else while they were small and as long as I lived in Philippi. I think he must have been everyone's doctor in Philippi for as long as he practiced medicine.
For his family, I will be praying for your family and I knew he was blessed by the God he served, and the gift of human healing that God gave him. He is in a much better place now with no pain. I was privileged to get to know him.

  9. We're deeply sorry to hear about his loss. He has been our doctor for years since we moved to Philippi 7 years ago. We'll miss him dearly and you're all in our thoughts and prayers during this time. God Bless each of you!

  14. Dr. Kreider saved my daughter's life by diagnosing her with a previously undetected heart condition. We had no idea that she had this life-threatening heart condition. Without him, I probably wouldn't still have my little girl. I will always be grateful to him. My sympathy goes out to his family. He was a talented doctor and a great person.

  15. We send our love and prayers to Dr. Kreider's wife and entire family. Chris was a Mennonite VS student with Dr. Kreider in Philippi during the early 1990s and respected him highly. We will be making a donation of Memorial Gideon Bibles in his name. Peace and grace, Chris Walson c/o 7976 Dartmouth Court, Indianapolis IN 46260

  16. Maribeth and family: Please accept my deepest condolences at the passing of Elvin. Mom sent me the obituary link from the Inter-Mountain; we did not know about his death until today. I remember him as a very soft-spoken, intelligent man to whom family was very important. I was young, but he made a deep impression on me as a very loving family man. I will remember you in my prayers as you go through the grieving process. Sherry
