Eunice Walker

June 25, 1933 ~ July 11, 2024

Eunice Walker, 91, of Philippi, West Virginia passed away July 11, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Maynard Leslie and Otis Delaney (Marsh) Johnson. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles L. Walker and son-in-law Clyde V. Emigh. She leaves behind three daughters Sandra Walker, Charlinda Emigh, Donna Shepelak (husband Mike), grandsons Michael C. Shepelak (wife Jacqueline) and Brandon Shepelak (fiancé Emily Terrell), great-grandsons Michael Peter and Chrisopher Shepelak. Eunice attended Corinth School and graduated from Kasson High School where she was a member of the marching band. When younger, Eunice helped with the family farm. This included planting and working in vegetable and flowers gardens which she enjoyed. She took pleasure in traditional Sunday luncheons for her family and was able to continue this tradition until her passing. She always looked forward to family time during the holidays and yearly family vacations. She loved spending time with her grandsons and great grandson. These were memorable times for her. As long as Eunice was able, she attended Cross Roads United Methodist Church. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Monday July 15, from 2-4 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 pm with Pastor Tami Toothman-Shoup officiating. Interment will follow in the Central Chapel Cemetery.

    I have many memories of visiting with Eunice and her family when I was growing up, and then always looked forward to bringing our son to see her on Halloween to trick or treat.
