Eva Ketchem

Eva Grace Ketchem, age 91, a resident of Rt. 1 Union Community Philippi passed away Tuesday January 12, 2010 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born March 30, 1918 in Barbour County a daughter of the late Henry D. Shanabarger and Ora L. (Jones) Shanabarger Wilt. She was married to Elza Lee Ketchem who preceded her in death on September 24, 1986. Surviving are: Two sons; Ronald L. and wife Brenda Joyce Ketchem Tom G. and wife Karen Ketchem both of Philippi Daughter-in-law; Edith Ketchem Harrison of Belington Son-in-law; Jim Kelley of Wheeling Sister; Lucille Biller of Florida nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren Mrs. Ketchem was preceded in death by one son Henry L. Ketchem, one daughter, Judy Ketchem Kelley and one brother Deahl Shanabarger. She was a homemaker and a member of the Union Church of Christ. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday January 14, from 5-8 p.m. and on Friday January 15, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. the service hour with Evangelist R.D. Ice and Rev. James Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in the Pitman Cemetery.
