Geraldine Mouser

Geraldine (Bryan) Mouser, age 93, a resident of Philippi, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 18, 2026 at the Mountain Living Assisted Care Facility in Belington, WV where she had been a resident under the care of Mountain Hospice since September.

Geraldine was born on December 11, 1932 in Arden, WV to the late Charles H. and Virginia (Stemple) Bryan.  On May 27, 1950 she married her high school sweetheart James Linwood Mouser who proceeded her in death on April 14, 2001.  They had celebrated 50 years of marriage.

She is survived by one daughter Susan DeLong of Philippi and companion James Sprouse of Belington, WV; daughter-in-law Donna Mouser of Port Orange, Florida; grandson Bryan David DeLong and wife JoLynn of Bulter, PA; granddaughter Tonya Tichnell of New Smyma Beach, Florida; great-grandchildren Sebastain Colbey, Mackenzie, and Jordan all of PA.

She is also survived by one sister Judy Diania Lantz of Philippi; sister-in-law Helen Mouser of Philippi, WV; and special family and friend Susie Campbell of Belington, WV.

In addition to her parents and husband Gerladine was preceded in death by her son James Michael Mouser; brother Charles E. Bryan; infant sister Linda Lou Bryan; brothers-in-law Sherwood Lantz and William Mouser.

Geraldine was a member of the Cross Roads United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed quilting, tending to her flowers, and especially farming.

The family will received friends and family at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday January 22, from 6-8:00 pm and on Friday January 23, from 9-11:00 am.  Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating.  Gerladine will be laid to rest by her loving husband at the Tacy Crossroads Cemetery.
