Jean Sue Rosier, 81, a beloved resident of Midway Road in Belington, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, October 23, 2025.

She was born on April 22, 1944, in Philippi, the daughter of the late Floyd Posten and Corda (Simpson) Posten.

On October 3, 1964, Jean was united in marriage to her devoted husband, Jack Rosier, with whom she shared 61 wonderful years of love and companionship. Together they built a family that brought her endless pride and joy.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Posten, and her sister, Rebecca Haddix.

Jean worked as a laborer for Mountaineer Contractors and Sago Mines, where she was known for her strong work ethic and determination. Outside of work, she loved spending time with her family and friends, who will remember her for her warm heart, quick wit, and unwavering loyalty.

Jean was a 1963 graduate of Philippi High School. She enjoyed watching NASCAR and old western movies, and she had a true passion for racing — driving semi late model dirt track cars at the Elkins and Interstate tracks, where she remained undefeated and proudly held the Powder Puff Champion title.

Jean will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
